Nine years ago, Tanya and René Connolly Vinding first came to Tavira on holiday. Like so many before them, they were captivated by the light, the slower pace of life, and the warmth of the people. What began as a lighthearted idea about changing country and lifestyle gradually evolved into something much more meaningful.

As they spent more time in the region, they explored local wineries and discovered a quiet but exciting revival of Algarve winemaking—one focused on quality, character, and a deep respect for the land. When the right plot of land finally came up for sale, they knew it was the moment to take the leap.

That decision marked the beginning of Vida Vinha.
